MANAGEMENT

The FBA's organisation and operations are set up and managed by the FBA’s Director and Deputy Director. The FBA’s Director and Deputy Director are appointed for four years by the Parliament of the Federation of BiH on a proposal from the Government.

Jasmin Mahmuzic was appointed as the Director of the Banking Agency of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for a term of four (4) years under a Decision of the House of Representatives dated 28 June 2022 and under a Decision of the House of Peoples dated 28 July 2022.

Jelka Milicevic was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Banking Agency of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for a term of four (4) years under a Decision of the House of Representatives dated 29 May 2024 and under a Decision of the House of Peoples dated 12 June 2024.

FBA Director

Jasmin Mahmuzić was born in Tuzla in 1973. He obtained a Master's degree at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Sarajevo and an MBA at the University of Delaware (USA). Currently works on a PhD thesis at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Sarajevo.

An extensive working experience was gained in the business sector, international organizations in BiH, including OHR and OSCE, as well as on different social projects. Professional career includes significant working experience in the banking sector. He worked as Director of the Sarajevo Branch Office of Sparkasse Bank d.d. Sarajevo and in 2015 he was appointed as Management Board member/Executive Director of Union Banka, responsible for Sector for Customer Service.

He was a scholar of the Undergraduate Development Program of the State Department – University of Dayton (USA) and recognized professional in the field of banking operations, global financial market and business planning.

Also, he is the author of several scientific and professional papers, lecturer, active participant and panellist of the round tables and conferences.

The FBA’s Deputy Director

Jelka Milicevic was born in 1960 in Djakovo, the Republic of Croatia.

She completed the Secondary School of Economics in Mostar in 1979 and graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Mostar in 1983. She acquired a number of certificates and qualifications from 1996 to 2011: the qualifications of a certified auditor and accountant, consultant for development of analysis, business plans, evaluation and investment programs and restructuring of economic operators, Consulting Excellence (organised by the USAID), certified internal auditor - specialist in the field of banks and other financial institutions.

Since 1984 to date, she performed several important functions, among others, those of Researcher I, II and Task Team Leader in Soko Aeronautical Industry JSC Mostar, Accounting and Finance Manager in JAS LLC Mostar, Associate of the FBiH Government’s Privatisation Expert Team (1996-1997), Director of Soko Financije LLC Mostar, Director of Internal Audit in Hrvatske Poste JSC Mostar, Member of the Management Board of the FBiH Banking Agency.

In the 2015 to 2023 period, she performed the functions of the Minister of Finance and the Deputy Prime Minister in the Government of the Federation of BiH, Member of the Management Board of the Insurance Deposit Agency, Member of the Management Board of BiH Indirect Taxation Authority; Member of BiH Fiscal Council.

She is a recipient of a number of accolades, including the Person of the Year - the Best Minister for the Field of Finance as the Champion of Positive Changes and Stabilisation of the Budget of the Federation of BiH.
