Notification of Continuation of Application of Temporary Measures and Possibility of Filing Requests for Moratorium and Other Temporary Measures - "COVID-19"
Based on information indicating the continuation of aggravated business conditions, possible restrictions in the conduct of business activities, particularly due to the impact of the „third wave“ of the „COVID-19“ virus disease pandemic, the Banking Agency of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (hereinafter: FBA) is publishing its decisions on amendments to the decisions on the temporary measures to be applied by the banking system entities (banks, microcredit organizations and leasing companies) for the recovery from the adverse economic effects caused by the „COVID-19“ virus disease. The FBA’s decisions from August 2020 set the time limit for the filing of requests for any of the special measures, concluding with December 31st, 2020. Having regard to the current circumstances, assessment of the possible measures and restrictions that will further aggravate the recovery of business activities, the FBA believes that the filing of requests for the moratorium and other special measures needs to be allowed in accordance with the time limits set by the decisions. Citizens and business entities have the possibility of filing requests for the moratorium which can last up to June 30th, 2021, and other special measures which can last up to December 31st, 2021. The new FBA’s decisions have no effects on the clients and contractual support measures which have the expiry after the above-mentioned time limits, in accordance with the decisions from August 2020. The decisions enter into force on the eighth day from the date of their gazetting in the „Official Gazette of the Federation of BIH“. The decision proposals have been disclosed under the heading Provisions in Progress.
