FIA and FBA signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the data access segment

On September 10, 2021, the Financial Intelligence Agency (FIA) and the Banking Agency of the Federation of BiH (FBA) concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation to improve cooperation in the segment of access to data from the Register of Financial Statements and the Single Register of Accounts of Legal Entities. The memorandum, signed in Sarajevo by the director of the FBiH Banking Agency Jasmin Mahmuzic and the director of the Financial and Information Agency Irma Borovac, should, as expected, improve the efficiency in acting and taking the necessary measures within the competence of the agencies, as well as establishing a framework for future cooperation. The framework for cooperation, with the intention of joint action, provides continuous access to reliable information to assess economic trends, improve the operations of banking system entities, as well as assess the risks of doing business in the FBiH. "It was agreed to undertake joint activities in fields of mutual interest, which includes improving reporting to the relevant registers in order to strengthen financial discipline in the FBiH market," said Jasmin Mahmuzic, director of the FBiH Banking Agency.
